Reintegration with Families

The Issue

It is well recognized that a safe and secure family environment is ideal for the growth and development of children. Deprivation of family care has a short-term as well as long-term impact on Well-being and Cognitive, Social, and Emotional Development of a child. SIAAP collaborates with the Department of Child Welfare and Special Services (DCWSS), and UNICEF, to reintegrate children in institutional care with their biological families, kinship care, or foster care facilities.

Our Solution

Build capacity of District Child Protection Units (DCPUs) and child care institutions (CCIs).

Develop Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), and District Action Plans for reintegration with foster care & with biological families.

Provide on site support supervision for District Child Protection Units (DCPUs).

Monitor and Evaluate the Progression of the Programme in the State.
